Tomorrow is CHAMPS! 🎉 We are so excited and can’t wait to cheer on our swimmers! Please read through the information below so everyone knows what to expect.

A few important reminders:

• This facility has a STRICT clear bag policy. Spectator bags must be clear. Swimmers’ backpacks do not have to be clear.
• Please arrive by 12:50 PM and meet our team outside. Check in with our parent volunteer (look for the lady with the clipboard). She will check in swimmers and volunteers. Volunteers will receive a badge and wristband. No one is allowed on the pool deck without a wristband.

Schedule:

• 1:00 PM – Officials, Team Reps & Coaches enter for setup.
• Around 1:15 PM – Parents and swimmers enter separately.
• 1:30–2:30 PM – Warm-ups (please be on time!)
• 2:00 PM – Judges Meeting
• 2:45 PM – Timers Meeting & Head Coaches Meeting
• 3:00 PM – Meet Starts!

Don’t forget:

• Come with your swimmer marked up. We will not have time to mark swimmers tomorrow. Instructions are on our Swimtopia page if you need them.
• Swimmers will be inside and outside, so bring sunscreen.
• We will have a team cooler. Please put any items that need to stay cold in a gallon Ziplock bag labeled with your swimmer’s name.
• If you preordered a Champs shirt, bring $15 cash or check.
• There will be a food truck on site.

Meet Information:

• The 10 & Under pool will post times in the Swimtopia app (no scoreboard).
• The 11 & Up pool will use the LED scoreboard.
• All relays are in the older pool.
• Meet should wrap up around 6:30 PM. Please clean up your area before leaving.
• Results will be posted in the front lobby throughout the meet.

Important athlete reminders:

• Swimmers must stay on the lower deck and may not use the stairs or elevators.
• When your family is ready to leave, text me at (210) 744-7953, and I’ll send someone with your swimmer to meet you in the lobby.
• No swimmer may wear another team’s logo on their suit or cap. That’s an automatic DQ. If you need an Otters cap, I have extras available for $15. This includes high school logos. An orange suit is not a problem unless it has another teams logo.

Parking: Parking is limited. Please do not park on the grass or your vehicle will be towed. Overflow parking is available at the middle school at the Christa Mcauliffe Middle School (right before the Natatorium on access road (you’ll need to do a U-turn around the whole highway)

Lastly, please bring your own heat sheet unless you’re volunteering. I have a few copies for volunteers.
