Marking the Swimmer's Events
Before arrival
1.) Write your child's first name and age on their back, right shoulder
2.) Write your child's event #, heat, lane, and stroke info. on their inner forearm with a sharpie marker.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LEAVE AN AREA ON THE SWIMMER’S INNER FOREARM WITHOUT SUNSCREEN SO THE MARKER WON’T RUB OFF
The heat sheet and entries by name will be posted on the "Meets" page. It is very important swimmers arrive with this information written on their arm. Complete instructions and an example of EXACTLY how it should look are as follows:
These are an example of heat sheet entries - Medley Relay, Individual Event, and Freestyle Relay:
The event number, gender, event distance, and stroke/relay are listed first; The columns with lane, name or team, age, seed time, etc. are listed next; The heat number, etc. are listed under that
The numbers listed under the "Lane" column is the lane number
For the Medley Relay the number next to the swimmer's name is the number position, AND STROKE, the swimmer is doing in that relay: 1 = Backstroke; 2 = Breaststroke; 3 = Butterfly; 4 = Freestyle
For the Freestyle Relay the number next to the swimmer's name is the number position the swimmer is doing in that relay. Freestyle relay, all 4 swimmers swim freestyle stroke.
This is how it should look: E = Event number; H = Heat number; L = Lane number; S = Stroke
Please abbreviate the strokes as follows:
Free = FR
Breast = BR
Back = BK
Butterfly = FL
100 SC Meter IM = IM
100 SC Freestyle Relay = FRLY and the position number swimming
200 SC Freestyle Relay = FRLY and the position number swimming
100 Medley Relay = MRLY, stroke, AND position number swimming
200 SC Medley Relay = MRLY, stroke, AND position number swimming
